Public Hearing
The Illinois Department of Transportation (the Department) held two identical Corridor Protection Public Hearings for the planned construction of IL 336 from I-474 near Peoria to IL 9 West of Canton, a distance of about 30 miles. The hearings were held in an open house format to allow informal discussion between the public and the project's staff members. The Draft Corridor Protection Map is available on the Corridor Protection page of this web site.

Both hearings were well attended. Combined over 300 people came to discuss corridor protection. Written comments were accepted at the hearing and a court recorder was available to take oral comments. Written comments may also be mailed to the Department or submitted through the Project Contact page of this web site. Comments received before September 24, 2012, will be included in the official project records.
